• Students are required to write down all

Arrival Dismissal

• Arrival Begins 710 AM
• Tardy Bell/School Day Begins 740 AM
• Dismissal 220 PM
• Late Arrivals Parents must accompany tardy
  students to the office and sign them in.
• Early Dismissal Parents are requested to
  refrain from checking their child(ren) out of
  school early except in the case of an emergency.
• Transportation Changes Any change to regular
  transportation requires a written request from
  the parent/guardian of the student. Communication
  must go through office, not teacher.

Recess Policy

• Students wearing flip-flops or open-toed shoes
  will be limited to certain activities at recess.
• They will not be permitted to participate in any
  activities that require a lot of running, i.e.,
  soccer, basketball, touch football, kickball, etc.

Daily Snacks

• We have daily snacks during the morning block.
• Please send a nutritious snackno chips, cookies,
  cakes, desserts, etc.
• As students will generally be eating while
  working, please do not send messy snacks (no
  Cheeto fingers!).
• Clear liquids only refillable, plastic water
  bottles recommended. Please label with name.

Birthday Treats

• You may send a treat in on your childs birthday
  (or ½ birthday if his/her birthday is in the
  summer).
• You may drop it off at the front office, and your
  child will pick it up.
• Treats will be shared with the class at dismissal
  time.
• There are 29 students in our class
• (plus one teacher ?) individual
• or pre-cut treats, please!

Classwork Policies

• Classwork
• Late and/or missing classwork will be recorded as
  incomplete or not enough information rather than
  a zero.
• An opportunity to replace the incomplete with a
  score will be provided without penalty before the
  end of the grading period.
• Study Hall
• If a student accrues two or more missing homework
  and/or classwork assignments, he/she will attend
  a weekly study hall period, which will be held
  during recess on a day that the student has P.E.
• If the student makes up the work before the study
  hall period, he/she will not have to stay in.

Homework Policies

• Should not exceed 60 minutes per night
• Includes 20-25 minutes of nightly reading
• Completion 5 of overall grade in Reading,
  English Language Arts, and Math
• Average of 9 grades per subject
• All checked, 1 selected randomly each week
• 100 On Time and Complete
• 50 1 Day Late and/or Incomplete
• 0 2 Days Late and/or Incomplete, Not Handed In
• Missing or incomplete homework will result in a
  stamp in your childs agenda please initial
  when present.

Make-Up Work

• The school policy states that the teacher must
  receive an email by 930 a.m. requesting work to
  be sent home that day.
• Make-up work may be picked up after the school
  day ends.
• The student will be given the equivalent amount
  of days he/she was absent to complete make-up
  work.
