McLean Hospital Research Mission Statement
The McLean Hospital Research Community is
committed to a full range of basic and clinical
scientific inquiry. We will study the brain
and behavior in both healthy and diseased states
in order to build an improved knowledge base that
can be rapidly and safely translated to improved
patient care. We will promote an environment
that is conducive to discovery, innovation, and
teamwork. Through our research, we will train
the next generation of leaders in psychiatry,
mental health, and neuroscience.

What Researchers Have To Do
  • On the "Transition" day
  • Configure your email clients to send/receive new
    email through your partners accounts
  • Begin transfer of mail out of your existing
    McLean Email account. Completed before McLean
    Email server is shutdown (Exact Date TBD)
  • During transition period you will not loose
    access to email
  • Step-by-Step documentation has been developed and
    posted to the RIS site
  • McLean RIS/ERIS is on site and ready to assist as
    needed to configure clients, folders, etc

Managing your Mailbox Size
  • Empty trash regularly
  • Use http//transfer.partners.org to send large
    attachments
  • Archive mail to local folders
  • Sort Inbox by size and relocate the larger emails

Mail Box Storage
  • Depending upon current usage, 100 or 300 MB to
    start and you can request up to 1 GB
  • The request process is currently under
    development
  • Larger mailboxes are not free
  • Low cost associated with it which will be
    absorbed by McLean IS
  • Working on a price structure
