- Before the Read
- Look at the pictures before reading the story.
- When your child is stuck, say
- Look at the picture.
- What would make sense? (meaning)
- Does that sound right? (grammar)

- Read it again and get your mouth ready for the
- first sound.
- Look for a chunk you know? (groups of letters)
- Try something, and keep reading for more
- information.
