  • Bottom line I expect professional work. Soon

are not now and your professional work switch
will be on all the time you are on the job. You
wouldnt give crappy work to the boss or
Grandma or whoever. Please dont give it to me.

28
Portfolio
  • Required for graduation
  • Start NOW if you have not started already
  • Easy if you do it as you go along
  • A royal pain if you postpone it until the last
    minute
  • I did not save any of my work is NOT an excuse.
  • Any and all of the work done in this class is
    potential portfolio material

29
Segue to Excel Puzzle
30
The answer to the first puzzle is
31
and the answer to the second puzzle is
32
Your work should look like this
33
not like this.
34
Impact on evaluation of your work
  • The numerical results in the two worksheets are
    identical.
  • The second worksheet would get zero credit yes,
ZIPPO because the underlying financial model is
    not reliable.
  • You cannot see the assumptions underlying a
    calculation.
  • You cannot easily test alternative values.

35
Use a separate data entry section in smaller
problems use a separate data worksheet for
larger ones
