2CONTRACT FOR PARENT/GUARDIANS
1. I understand that my child is expected to
attend school every day, to arrive before the
tardy bell, and to stay throughout the scheduled
hours. I agree to schedule medical appointments
outside school hours.
3ATTENDANCE POLICY
- Students are expected to be in their seats by the
755 bell. - Students arriving tardy should get agenda stamped
in the office - Students will be dismissed at 230
- Parents should NOT pick up students before 230!
4CONTRACT FOR PARENT/GUARDIANS
- 2. I understand that it is my
responsibility to notify the school in writing,
if my child is to be released in the custody of
another adult in order to leave the school
grounds.
5CONTRACT FOR PARENT/GUARDIANS
- 3. I understand that my child is to adhere
to the uniform and dress code, as well as the
discipline policies of the school. Failure to
follow the school rules could result in dismissal
from Lincoln Avenue Academy.
6UNIFORM POLICY
- Lincoln Avenue students are expected to follow
the dress code policy stated in the contract at
all times every day - Teachers and staff will monitor students to
assure compliance with the uniform code
7UNIFORM POLICY
- Fontaine Apparel is the only authorized vendor.
- Uniforms are required every day.
- Order forms are available in the office and will
be downloadable on our web site - Uniforms purchased through other vendors ARE NOT
acceptable uniforms under Lincoln contract - Recycled uniforms may be purchased through the
LAA store
8UNIFORM POLICY
- Lincoln uniforms consists of white or hunter
green tops available at Fontaine Apparel - Boys are required to wear navy shorts or pants
- Lincoln plaid for girls uniform is available
through Fontaine Apparel
9UNIFORM POLICY
- On cool days, students may wear a plain, solid
white or dark green turtleneck under their
Lincoln Avenue Academy shirt or blouse. A white
turtleneck may be worn under the white or green
knit shirt or Peter Pan blouse and matching color
dark green turtleneck may be worn under the dark
green knit shirt. - Plain solid white T-shirt may be worn under the
Lincoln uniform shirts - All outer garments (Example cardigan sweaters,
pull-over sweatshirts, zip-up sweatshirts, and
light jackets) must be purchased through Fontaine
Apparel, PTA, or the LAA Repeat Shop. - Thick jackets must be dark color (navy, brown,
black)
10DRESS UNIFORMS
- Dress uniforms must be worn on Mondays October
through April - Dress uniform days may also be announced at other
times throughout the year, such as individual and
class picture days. - For girls in grade K-5, this consists of the
Peter Pan collar blouse, a green X-tie, plaid
jumper and correct socks and shoes. Girls in
grades 3-5 may choose to wear a plaid skort and
white Lincoln Academy oxford shirt. - For boys, this consists of a white Lincoln Avenue
Academy oxford cloth shirt and long uniform
pants, a belt, and correct socks and shoes.
11UNIFORM POLICY
- Ties must be worn by girls with the Peter Pan
blouse and jumper. - Only Lincoln Avenue Academy knit shirts are to be
worn with shorts or pants. - Belts must be worn with shorts or pants.
- Lincoln Avenue Academy hats and visors may only
be worn at PE. - Tennis shoes or rubber-soled shoes must be worn
with the uniform. (NO PLATFORM SHOES ALLOWED) - Throughout the year, days will be scheduled and
announced when students will be allowed to wear
the Lincoln T-shirt with uniform shorts. This is
in addition to last Friday of each month which is
a LAA T-shirt day.
12REMINDER
- Shirts must be tucked in at all times
- Shorts/skort must be appropriate length
- Socks/tights white, navy or dark green
- No makeup, colored nail polish, tatoos, fake
fingernails - Boys are not permitted to wear earrings girls
earrings must be small no hoops - Boys hair may not exceed the edge of the shirt
collar bangs may not cover eyebrows - no numbers, writing or designs, no color (green,
blue,) hair no picks, sweatbands, curlers or
other head gear

- 4. I understand that as a parent, I must be
supportive of my child and his/her school. I
understand that I am required (or an adult
representative) to attend all parent conferences,
school meetings, and other activities sponsored
by the school.

- 5. I understand that my child is participating in
a rigorous academic program and will maintain
continuous academic progress and develop work
habits necessary for success in learning.
15CONTRACT FOR PARENT/GUARDIANS
- 6. I understand that it is my responsibility to
review homework and to sign and return all
communication when requested.
16CONTRACT FOR PARENT/GUARDIANS
- 7. I understand that I (or my designee) must
review my childs schoolwork portfolio at least
three times during the school year with his or
her teacher or team of teachers. If a parent
cancels or does not attend a scheduled portfolio
review, the teacher will try to reschedule the
review.
After that attempt, the parent has one week to
reschedule the missed appointment.

18LUNCH PROCEDURE
- We encourage parents to come and have lunch with
their students - When visiting for lunch, parents and students
should use the picnic tables outside the
lunchroom - Students can select only ONE classmate to eat
with - Please do NOT bring any food not purchased in the
lunchroom inside the cafeteria
19ON-CAMPUS VISITS
- For safety of our students all visitors must
check in the office and obtain a visitor pass - Non-staff members are not permitted in the
classroom wings without visitors pass at any
time! - You may have lunch with your child in the
courtyard area only!
20MEDIA CENTER
- Media center hours will be posted on the media
center doors, as well as on the Lincoln web site! - Parents/students should not be in the media
center without Lincoln staff supervision - Students may use the computer lab only when
supervised by Lincoln staff members!
21THE "QUIET" SIGNAL
- Students are expected to exhibit appropriate
behavior in and out of the class - In order to more effectively manage behavior
Lincoln faculty and staff will use an agreed upon
procedure to quiet students down, particularly
during assemblies and in the courtyard - Teachers will practice this procedure daily
- Adults on the school grounds are expected to
follow the quiet signal along with students
while visiting Lincoln - We encourage you to talk about and practice this
procedure with your student
22CAR RIDERS
- To assure safety please follow the car route
- Do not drop off students in other areas
- You may park and walk your student to the
crossing guard or across to the courtyard
student must have an adult escort - Do not pull in or park in the bus ramp or staff
parking areas - Gate at the media center will be closed at 225.
If you are parking and picking your child in
person, please walk around the media center - Only bus riders will be permitted in the
courtyard area at dismissal all car riders and
walkers will be dismissed to the car rider area!
