• 200 pm 600 pm Open BOG meeting resumes
• 700 pm whenever Cookout Party at Cherokee
  Caverns

• Historic Cherokee Caverns will be available for
  those that like to camp. People can camp either
  outside on the 27 acres of land surrounding the
  cave or they could sleep comfortably inside the
  cave.

Here are a few more restaurants within easy
walking distance from either your hotel or the
meeting place. You have Panera Bread, Subway,
Taco Bell, China Buffet, Sonic, McDonalds,
Hardees, and Shoneys. You also have several
large stores within walking distance. These are
Wal-Mart, K-mart, Krogers, Sears, JC Penneys
 There are several interesting caves within 15
minutes of the meeting place as well some really
good caves under 2 hours away. Carters Pit is
close by. This is a really nice 100' pit with
some cave at the bottom. Bring your gear. For
those who can stay through late Sunday or Monday
we are planning a trip to Blue Springs Cave, a
most excellent multi-mile cave. A trip to a
local horizontal cave will also be offered. For
those who like to mix other activities in with
their caving you will find places like the Great
Smoky Mountains National Park as well as other
State Parks and Natural Areas close by. Directly
behind the meeting place is the American Museum
of Science and Energy. This is a must see for
anyone who really wants to know about Oak Ridge
and its role in developing the first atomic bomb
in WWII. Please let us know if there is
anything we can do to make your stay more
enjoyable.
