History of Rotary

• Founded February 23, 1905 by Paul Harris of
  Chicago, Illinois, to bring together professional
  people to foster the ideals of service in their
  community.
• In 2005 Rotary Celebrated its first 100 years.
• Later Clubs
• 2 San Francisco,CA
• 3 Seattle,WA
• 15 Portland,OR
• 35 Winnipeg, Canada (the first club outside of
  the United States in l910)

Object of Rotary

• The Object of Rotary is to encourage and foster
  the ideal of service as a basis of worthy
  enterprise, and to encourage and foster

• the use of high ethical standards in our
  businesses and professions
• the use our professional endeavors as an
  opportunity to serve society and
• the advancement of international understanding,
  goodwill, and peace through world fellowship,

• Must maintain 80 attendance

• Friday Noon at River Ranch
• Missing 4 consecutive meetings without a make up
  or approved absence.
• May cause membership revocation

Sponsor Responsibilities

• Acquaint new members with others.
• Discuss various activities of our Club.
• Assist new member in obtaining a committee
  assignment.
• Assist in make-up procedure requirements
• Escort new member to another club
• Provide encouragement mentorship
• Assist New Member in completing Red Badge
  requirements
• Assist them in identifying new members
• Assist in preparing their autobiography
